Our Association
White Frame (WF) produces and curates exhibitions and screenings, offering artists increased visibility for their work. Established in 2011 in Basel, Switzerland, our non-profit, nomadic association operates at the intersection of media arts and visual arts, with a primary focus on media-based practices. We aim to develop national and international networks and foster collaborative partnerships. We initiate and implement projects, facilitating exchanges between Swiss and international artists, institutions, independent curators, festival programmers, writers, and the public.
Chantal Molleur
Co-founder and head curator
Chantal Molleur has worked for over two decades in the Canadian media arts field, where she was involved in distribution and exhibition production. After relocating to Switzerland in 2005, she co-founded White Frame. Since its inception, she has curated more than sixty projects, including screenings and exhibitions. Her curatorial practice focuses on media arts and their intersections with visual arts, fostering dialogue between moving images, contemporary artistic practices, and diverse audiences. Alongside her curatorial work, she mentors film and art students, supporting emerging artists in developing promotional strategies and distribution pathways. Molleur has also served on boards and juries for art institutions in both Switzerland and Canada.
