DETAILED PROGRAM

White Frame presented video art and films from Switzerland, Palestine, Iran, Kazakhstan and Turkey. “Our Stories” curated by Susann Wintsch, curator and editor of Treibsand Exhibition Space and Chantal Molleur founder and curator of White Frame.

We have the possibility to interact with our neighbors across the street as well as communicate instantly with others far away over our national borders. Our relationship to one another and to nature has been transformed and permutated by our avidity for mobility, which can have some counter effects of isolating ourselves in virtual bubbles and thus cutting our direct human contact. For this second edition of The Compiler Screenings 2017, we are bringing you closer to your neighbors from here and there with stories that communicate the political, cultural and social complexities of our world with the common goal of bridging our communal interconnection which binds us while taking into account the many challenges affecting us, our landscapes, our travels and our relationships.

This project was made possible thanks to the financial support of the Christoph Merian Stiftung and the Division of Cultural Affairs Basel-Stadt.
